Job Description
As the Operational Excellence Lead for the joint USBU and OBU DD&T organization, you will report to the Head of Portfolio Strategy & Operational Excellence. In this role, you will be accountable for leading all operational excellence activities across this new, integrated organization, including contract management and interfacing with budget management teams, annual operating calendar management, team coordination, meeting logistics, and rolling out and embedding operational excellence skills and capabilities across teams - with the objective of upskilling colleagues to run lean, efficient, and effective teams.
This Portfolio Strategy & Operational Excellence team is accountable to deliver consistent operations across the USBU and OBU DD&T organization, which accelerates our ability to set common operational reporting, KPIs and targets, and to have performance discussions with our business stakeholders and strategy and operational peers.
As an Operational Excellence Lead, you will be responsible for:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Build trusted relationships with the USBU and OBU DD&T Team, BU and DD&T Strategy and Operations teams, Finance, and Procurement partners to establish simple, transparent ways of working and drive continuous improvement.

  • Monitoring overall USBU and OBU DD&T ways of working to drive productivity and predictability in operating rhythms.

  • Drives operational excellence framework and capabilities across all USBU and OBU DD&T teams.

  • Owns the Annual Operating Calendar for USBU and OBU DD&T that integrates business planning milestones and enterprise DD&T operating model cadence.

  • Establishes and drives process and ways of working for contract management, collaboration with budget managers, and forecasting across entire team.

  • Identifies opportunities to simplify processes, operationalize repeatable work across the organization, leverage enterprise tools and processes to drive productivity.

  • Responsible for operating the end-to-end process for contract management across organization.

  • Provides meeting logistics and team coordination support to this integrated, cross-functional, global organization.

  • Find opportunities to embrace innovative technologies and processes.

EDUCATIONAL, BEHAVIORIAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
  • A Bachelor or Master degree is required

  • Proven ability to work within a cross regional, functional, multicultural, and virtual context (matrix organization)

  • Able to handle a complex environment of constant change, proven success in a highly matrix-ed, fast paced, and challenging business environment.

  • Good judgement and strong leadership skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated success collaborating with global teams, with ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple priorities in a goal-oriented timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, with quality and accuracy.

  • Six Sigma or Lean Black Belt certified by a recognized third-party organization

  • Strong problem-solving ability, with broad business knowledge and the ability to link customer needs with business processes

  • Acts with a sense of urgency and an ability to adapt to changing priorities

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$116,000.00 - $182,270.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
