Pay Range: $135,000/yr. - $165,000/yr. based on experience and qualifications

Here at Home Market Foods, we're looking for a hands-on operations leader to drive performance, efficiency, and team development across our manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations while partnering with leadership to execute strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and build a high-performing, accountable team. This role will be a 1st shift opportunity (Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm), based in our manufacturing facility in Norwood, MA

What You'll Do:

Operational Leadership

  • Direct daily operations across production, maintenance, sanitation, and distribution functions
  • Ensure seamless execution of manufacturing plans, schedules, and performance targets
  • Lead cross-functional coordination to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with leadership to shape and execute operational strategies
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions

Team Development

  • Build, coach, and develop a strong leadership bench within the facility
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and results
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing employee development

Planning & Reporting

  • Translate business needs into actionable production and resource plans
  • Monitor operational costs and manage departmental budgets
  • Prepare and present performance updates to senior leadership

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory, safety, and internal standards
  • Ensure workforce training and compliance across all operational areas

 What You'll Bring with You: 

  • High school diploma required; degree in Engineering, Operations, or related discipline preferred
  • 7+ year of proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food or CPG strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated success building and leading team-based organizations
  • Solid background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of packaging operations and production workflows
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a plus

  • Regular presence in production areas, including cold, wet, humid, and noisy environments.
  • Ability to walk production floors, climb ladders and stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Off-shift and weekend work may be required to support breakdowns, shutdowns, or project execution.
