Job description

Our client, a leader in the scientific and research industry, is seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant to join their team. As an Operations Assistant, you will be part of the Triage team supporting sample processing and logistical operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Operations Assistant

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Range:

Shift: First shift, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (with occasional overtime and weekend rotation)

What's the Job?

  • Go through sample boxes, sort samples based on priority
  • Scan packages into the tracking database, flag priority samples and record quantities
  • Physically label samples for larger projects, ensuring accuracy and organization
  • Assist with taking photographs of packages and samples as needed
  • Support shipping, receiving, and dock operations as part of team efforts

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred for growth opportunities
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment (1-2 years preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computers and software applications
  • Prompt and reliable work ethic
