As an Assistant Operations Support Manager at Horizon, you willโ€ฆ

  • Create weekly schedule for Treatment Assistants within budgeted total hour parameters one month in advance covering a 24/7 schedule.
  • Obtain coverage for shift needs due to calls offs.
  • Approve and cross-reference schedule to time cards and approves bi-weekly payroll of 30+ Treatment Assistants.
  • Assist Operations Support Manager in doing phone screens, conducting interviews and hiring of employee candidates. Processes new hire paperwork and works with our Employee Services Department (HR at other companies) with hiring procedures.
  • Deliver training curriculum to Treatment Assistants (new hire and incumbent) on the policies, procedures and processes required to be successful working with addiction clients living at a rehab facility.
  • Select and/or deliver the appropriate method of instruction for training using the adult learning styles. Methods could include individual, group, self-study, and/or eLearning training.
  • Follow up assistance and triage training supporting staff during the onboarding process of 6-12 months.
  • Measure, evaluate and track employeeโ€™s progress in performing all job responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback to manager on the performance of individual employee progress in training.
  • Identify training opportunities and suggests methods for improving employee and/or team performance.
  • Provide input to managers on training policies and programs and determines training needs based upon: knowledge of identified training needs; department processes; business systems, or changes in products or services.
  • Maintain all supplemental training materials and manual to ensure accuracy and the most current information.
  • Assist with the creation, implementation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative training needs assessments and training effectiveness evaluations.
  • Work on special projects, as needed, when requested by the Operations Support Manager (e.g., creating and presenting supplemental training or workshops).
  • Cover Treatment Assistant or Administrative Assistant shifts as needed if coverage cannot be found.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in human-services related field required.ย 
    • Example of related degrees: Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, etc.

  • High School Diploma with 2 to 5 yearsโ€™ experience scheduling, training, or working in an addiction or residential facilities required.
  • A clean, valid, NYS driverโ€™s license, and three years of driving experience as a licensed driver required.
  • Broad knowledge of training program design and delivery methods.
  • Must be flexible to meet our changing training needs.

Location:

This position is located at our Detox and Inpatient facility located at 291 Elm St, Buffalo NY.

Hours:

This position is Sunday - Thursday with 2 evenings shifts required along with on-call responsibilities. You may be required to cover Treatment Assistant shifts on evenings and weekends if needed so flexibility is required.ย 

Compensation:

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $62,358 - $64,000.ย Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education.ย Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

  • Stationary posture with frequent standing/sitting alternation.
  • Mobility between nearby worksites and within facilities.
  • Mobility required involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
  • Handling light duties, moving objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles.
