Job description

Operations Assistant

The Office of Residential Life is looking to hire two Operations Assistant to start immediately and work during the academic year. This position is in the Circles Community Center and offers 6 hours/week. This position will be supervised by the Circles Area Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct room and building inspections to note any damage or required maintenance
  2. Review inspection notes to assess damage
  3. Submit damage charges into online billing software
  4. Place work orders using Maintenance Direct to clean, conduct necessary maintenance and repair damage
  5. Escort contractors and review contractor work to ensure proper completion of projects.
  6. Perform office functions as required including answering phones, responding to emails, and submitting work orders, 
  7. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
  8. Adhere to the Residential Life Rules and Regulations, the Student Conduct Code, and all national, state, and local laws throughout the duration of your employment

Required Qualifications: 

All applicants must:

  • Be current Ithaca College undergraduate or graduate students at the time of hiring through tenure of employment. 
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Be in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards

Employee Details: 

  • Operations Assistants will be paid an hourly rate of $16.30
