Job description
- Leads by example, mentoring, and exhibiting behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
- May provide recommendations regarding staff recruitment, selection, promotion, and advancement.
- Provides daily communication to the management team.
- Reviews work order priorities, including emergency and break-in work orders, based on knowledge of product demand, management direction and operational expectations
- Approves or rejects all maintenance work requests
- Determine jobs that can and should be handled by operations
- Coordinates maintenance work execution between operations and maintenance
- Determine whether jobs require an equipment shutdown
- Adjusts priorities of scheduled work-in-progress to execute emergency or break-in work
- Coordinates required housekeeping for maintenance work
- Coordinates lockouts and tag-outs of equipment for maintenance work
- Coordinates required permits for confined space entry and hot work
- Communicates directly with maintenance in the planning of work in the backlog that is not ready to be scheduled
- Communicates directly with maintenance and operations in the scheduling of work that has been planned is ready to be scheduled
- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent operational experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of the operations of a recycled mill.
