Job description

eGourmet Solutions is one of the leading refrigerated and perishable fulfillment facility in the United States. The Operations Excellence Coordinator drives continuous improvement across our fulfillment network. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing solutions that improve warehouse efficiency, labor productivity, quality, safety, and overall operational performance.
This is a highly hands-on position that combines warehouse-floor engagement with office-based analytical and project work. The successful candidate will spend time observing operations, working alongside warehouse teams, testing and implementing improvements, managing projects, analyzing data, and documenting processes.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and passionate about improving operational performance in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, quality, safety, and service levels.
• Lead improvement projects from concept through implementation, including problem identification, solution design, testing, documentation, training, and rollout.
• Analyze operational metrics and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Partner with Operations leadership to execute strategic improvement initiatives.
Automation & Technology
• Support the evaluation, testing, and implementation of warehouse automation and technology solutions.
• Coordinate with operations teams, vendors, and technology partners during installation, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for further optimization.
Compliance & Audit Readiness
• Support preparation for food safety, quality, and operational audits and certifications.
• Coordinate documentation, process validation, and corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits and support ongoing compliance initiatives.
Packaging & Thermal Testing
• Lead packaging and thermal testing programs to evaluate shipping methods, packaging materials, and pack-out configurations.
• Document testing results and recommend improvements to optimize cost, product protection, and transit performance.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, and vendors to implement packaging enhancements.
Work Environment
This role requires a balance of warehouse-(including freezer/cooler) floor work and office-based project work. The Operations Excellence Coordinator is expected to maintain a strong presence within warehouse operations while also managing analysis, reporting, documentation, and project coordination activities.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software.
Preferred
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with warehouse automation, packaging testing, or process engineering.
• Experience in food fulfillment, cold-chain logistics, or perishable products.
