Backed by Alpine Investors, a private equity firm specializing in middle market companies in the services and software industries and with $15bn+ of AUM Cobalt has scaled rapidly since launch, completing seventeen acquisitions in under two years and establishing a differentiated operating model in a large, fragmented, and growing market. Our leadership team combines deep operating experience with disciplined investment practices, and we are building a platform designed to scale through both organic growth and M&A

The Operating Executive will lead multi-unit operations in a complex, fast-scaling environment. Responsibilities include integrating newly acquired businesses, strengthening leadership teams, establishing consistent operating cadence, and ensuring performance standards are met without disrupting customer relationships or local cultures

In addition to operational leadership, this role requires active participation in regional growth efforts. • Lead post-acquisition integration and post-close value creation
  • Develop, coach, and evaluate CEOs and senior leadership teams
  • Establish and maintain operating rhythm, KPIs, and performance management
  • Partner with sales leadership to translate pipeline into delivered revenue through capacity planning, utilization, and pricing discipline

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior operating experience with direct P&L ownership
  • Proven success leading multi-unit, labor-intensive service businesses ($50M+ revenue preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organic growth, not solely manage existing operations
  • Experience engaging directly with customers and supporting executive-level sales efforts
  • Track record of successfully integrating acquisitions and scaling operations
  • Strong financial acumen and operational judgment
  • Experience in private equity-backed, founder-led, or high-growth environments preferred
