Job Summary: 

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will be the face of our dealership and the trusted advisor to customers in their vehicle-buying journey. You are responsible for providing an exceptional purchase experience, demonstrating deep knowledge of our vehicle lineup (GMC, Chevrolet), and helping each customer find the right solution to fit their needs. This position demands a blend of product knowledge, customer service, follow-up, and consistent execution of the dealership’s proven sales process.

Success comes from going beyond the showroom by consistently asking for referrals, staying connected with past customers, and actively networking in your community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally—whether on the showroom floor, lot, service drive, or digital platforms.

  • Actively listen and identify customer needs to recommend suitable vehicle options.

  • Conduct professional walkarounds, test drives, and product presentations to highlight features and value.

  • Understand and explain all financing, lease, and protection product options clearly.

  • Maintain working knowledge of inventory, incentives, trims, features, and competitive advantages.

  • Follow the dealership’s sales process, including CRM utilization, timely follow-ups, and delivery standards.

  • Ensure every customer is enrolled in OnStar, the brand app (myGMC, myChevy), and GM Rewards.

  • Guide customers through trade-in evaluations, appraisals, and vehicle delivery.

  • Represent the dealership’s culture of integrity, transparency, and customer care.

Qualifications:

  • Previous automotive sales experience preferred, but not required.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient with technology (CRM systems, digital sales tools, mobile apps).
