Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Checkpoint Examiner in Greenwood, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support access control by screening visitors, verifying badges, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site access requirements; verify credentials, direct individuals to appropriate locations, and report irregularities to site leadership.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintain accurate entry records, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and follow established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening areas, and perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
