Student Success Coach - 19 hrs a week
POSITION PURPOSE
The part-time Student Success Coach supports students at Snake River Opportunities High School through mentoring and encouragement in a virtual learning environment. Positions may support a general education house, special education students, or students needing additional support. This role helps students stay engaged, build success skills, and make progress through collaboration with staff and families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescents or young people in supportive, educational, or mentoring settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort with technology and virtual communication tools.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in occasional in-person meetings, student activities, and school events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Meet with students virtually to provide mentoring, encouragement, and support.
  • Help students set goals and build success skills such as time management, organization, and follow-through.
  • Support student onboarding and ongoing progress in the online school model.
  • Share observations and student support needs with staff as part of the MTSS process.
  • Communicate with families to build strong school-home partnerships.
  • Participate in select face-to-face student activities and events as needed.
  • Support assigned students and programs based on school needs.
  • Uphold school policies and values that prioritize growth and student success.

WORK SETTING
Work from home, with periodic in-person team meetings, student activities, adventure experiences, and face-to-face responsibilities as needed throughout the year.
SALARY: Hourly position; placement according to district-approved rate.
