Job description

Library Assistant

The Library Assistant position at WUHSMS is a customer service oriented role in a welcoming and supportive environment for all patrons. The Library Assistant supports the Librarian by doing clerical duties, performing daily operations at the circulation desk, processing books, shelving books, weeding the collection, making book displays, assisting with interlibrary loans, maintaining patron records, sending overdue notices, helping patrons access the online card catalog, providing basic tech support, keeping the online library calendar up to date, monitoring student behavior, and assisting with programming and special events. Library experience and/or prior school employment is preferred.
