The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is a dynamic and growing department with a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
The department offers undergraduate degrees in Applied Psychology and Population Health Management, Graduate degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis and Marriage and Family Therapy, minors in Arts, Letters and Philosophy, Medical Sociology, and Psychology, and a diverse collection of courses in support of Oregon Tech's general education mission.

Position Summary
Oregon Tech is Accepting Applications for Humanities Undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences Department.
Humanities and Social Sciences Department at the Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) is recruiting a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions for our humanities courses (ethics, humanities, literature, philosophy). Qualified applicants may be invited to serve as instructors for courses within the department.
Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information. In your cover letter, please specify those areas or courses that you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching.
This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises as early as September 2021. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. After two years, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in person on campus, hybrid, or related clinic or lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.
Location: primary campus locations include Klamath Falls, OR, Wilsonville, OR and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online.

  • Master's Degree or higher in discipline or equivalent
  • Experience teaching

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard)
  • Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams
