Job description

Vista Innovative Solutions, LLC (VIS) is a government consulting and contracting firm supporting missions throughout the world. VIS is seeking a Course Instructor to support our new mission in San Antonio, TX. The Course Instructor role is to support the Medical Trauma Training Industry.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide instructor support services to deliver high-quality training in accordance with established curricula, learning objectives, and accreditation standards. Course instructors shall employ instructional methods appropriate for military training environments and trauma/medical readiness programs as applicable. Work conducted onsite, telework may be available on case-by-case basis. Approximately 40-50% travel may be required. The contractor shall perform the following tasks:
  • Deliver trauma training to DoD and partner nation personnel in accordance with standardized curriculum.
  • The instructor, depending on curriculum, shall facilitate practical and scenario-based exercises for point of injury care, blood transfusion, casualty resuscitation, prolonged field care, and field stabilization procedures.
  • Maintain training equipment, moulage kits, and simulation assets in operational condition.
  • Collect and report student performance data to the QA Lead following each course.
  • The instructor shall participate in instructor sustainment sessions and curriculum updates.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's in education, Subject-Matter Area, or related field 5+ years clinical practice; 3+ years medical education experience.
  • 3+ years teaching or instructing adults.
  • Experience delivering classroom and online training; strong presentation and facilitation skills; familiarity with adult learning principles.
  • Deployed military medical experience required.
  • Strong preference for individuals with SOF medic experience or robust conventional experience in training operational walking blood banks or managing whole blood training programs.
