About the Role The Personal Fitness Trainer diploma program offers a comprehensive health science education with an emphasis on special populations.
The curriculum consists of academic and technical courses and was designed to meet the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology - Certified Personal Trainer national certification. The department is seeking an instructor with the ability to teach the following course part-time in the Fall 2026 semester: XPFT 20200 Exercise Physiology The principles of anatomy and physiology will be applied to exercise. Beginning with nutrition and the metabolic pathways that provide energy for movement, students will learn how the systems of the body respond physiologically to the demands of exercise.
Students will also learn how these systems adapt to specific aerobic and anaerobic modes of training as well as the effects age and gender have on these adaptations.
