Online copy editors work remotely, either from home or another location outside of the office with internet connectivity. But during the editing process, they often work directly with writers to discuss inaccuracies or ways to make the copy more concise or easier to understand. Your job duties may also include formatting and layout checks to ensure published work follows style guidelines.
