Description

The Digital Banking Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, optimization, implementation, and ongoing development of SCU Credit Union's digital banking ecosystem. This position serves as a subject matter expert and primary support resource for assigned digital banking platforms and related technologies. The position assists with system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, vendor management, integrations, data analysis, process improvement, and project implementation. The analyst continuously evaluates digital banking functionality, member usage, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify opportunities to improve the member experience, increase operational efficiency, reduce risk, and support SCU's strategic objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for the system administration of the credit union's digital banking systems and ensures each system is optimally configured, including monitoring and deploying system updates, enhancements, and expansion.
  • Manages the development and implementation of new digital banking systems, including research, vendor selection, testing, training, communication, and deployment.
  • Serves as the project manager of cross department teams for all digital banking projects.
  • Responsible for preparing reviews of user access and controls; systems upgrades, disaster testing, vendor management review and report writing of the online banking system.
  • Works collaboratively with all teams across the organization to provide support/guidance on function, features, and usage of the digital banking systems. Works closely with business units to gather requirements and develop solutions for new processes, new features, and address support issues. Support routine and complex problem identification and resolution regarding the online banking system. 
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across digital banking platforms. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing, including validation between Digital Banking, Jack Henry core, and other ancillary systems, to ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Research issues through report generation and analysis.
  • Communicates with appropriate personnel when program errors are discovered, programming changes, release updates, and new features by following appropriate change management procedures.
  • Reviews Digital Banking System releases to determine impact and incorporation of enhancements. 
  • Evaluate, test, and implement scheduled 3rd party vendor software upgrades/releases to systems integrated with the digital banking system.
  • Support integrations between digital banking platforms, the core processing system, payment systems, card services, fraud solutions, CRM platforms, and other third-party applications.
  • Assist with API and data integration initiatives to improve system connectivity and automation.
  • Manages outside digital banking vendor relationships to address support issues, request new features, implement new products, and hold vendors accountable to quality standards and service level agreements.
  • Utilize knowledge of technological systems and industry standards to analyze current processes to design, develop, implement, and support new digital banking solutions or enhancements to existing solutions, maximizing efficiencies throughout the organization.
  • Participates in disaster recovery testing. Involved in the evaluation, testing, planning, and implementation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for the organization's online banking solutions.
  • Understands industry regulatory and compliance impacts to online banking system.
  • Perform annual vendor monitoring tasks for the online banking system and vendor due diligence for new vendors.
  • Support off-hours implementations, system updates, testing, monitoring, and production changes when required.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned digital banking vendors and technology partners.
  • Manage vendor support cases and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance, system availability, service levels, and contractual commitments.
  • Participate in vendor meetings, product demonstrations, roadmap discussions, and release reviews.
  • Evaluate vendor enhancements and new technologies for potential applicability to SCU.
  • Assist with vendor due diligence, risk assessments, audits, and contract reviews as requested.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to eliminate manual processes through automation and system integration.
  • Monitor digital banking processes for potential operational, security, fraud, and compliance risks.
  • Escalate identified risks, security concerns, and system issues in accordance with established procedures.
  • Recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce operational risk, and strengthen the member experience.
  • Contribute to SCU's digital transformation strategy and long-term technology roadmap.
  • Prepare for DOB, NCUA, and internal audits, ensuring procedures are updated when systems have changes or new systems are onboarded.
  • Research, evaluate, and make recommendations concerning new emerging digital banking technologies, fintech solutions, payment capabilities, and industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of seven years operations banking experience.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree or related experience
  • Experience with banking systems, Jack Henry preferred, digital banking, and financial services technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of information security, privacy, risk management, and regulatory considerations within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of digital banking technologies, financial services operations, and payments systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify root causes.
  • Experience or exposure to system support, application testing, issue tracking, or vendor coordination.
  • Basic understanding of how systems integrate or exchange data (e.g., workflows, file transfers, or APIs).
  • Experience creating or maintaining process documentation, workflows, or training materials.
  • Interest in continuing career growth in digital banking, systems analysis, or financial technology
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $72,000 - $85,000 annually and is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
