Job description

Spur Environmental Services is currently seeking an Environmental Technician with a Class A CDL, with Tanker Endorsement, to add to our team. This position to include Hydrovac operating, Vacuum Tanker, and Roll-off among others. Previous CDL driving experience is required. Direct experience with the previously mentioned equipment is not required but is highly recommended. This position is an outdoor role that may include travel and labor-intensive duties.
Compensation:
Hourly - $28.00 -$30.00/HR: Commensurate with experience. Paid Weekly

Job Type - Full-Time
Job Location - Midland, Texas
Position Requirements:
  • Environmental Technicians are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Experience with pressure washing, waste handling, confined space and SAR.
  • Due to the diversity of both scheduled and non-scheduled remediation's and emergency response projects, physical demands, and environmental conditions vary significantly depending on the project. May work in environments that are extreme in nature such as heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noises, dangerous equipment, long hours, etc. May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds or more.
  • Confined Space Entry may be required
  • Promote teamwork
  • Travel Required (up to 50%)

Working Conditions:
Work at customer site /Work at SES Facility/ On Call 24-7 shifts / Due to emergency or workload demands, subject to extended work hours requiring stamina beyond normal demands or levels.
Minimum Qualifications and Job-Related Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of driving experience (under current license and endorsements)
  • Must have current Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Confined Space Training Preferred
  • Must be able to perform under a Respiratory Protection Program
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search and all post-employment verifications.
