About Us: 

Tanglewood Golf Course is Central Missouri’s premiere public golf facility. The par 72 golf course measures 6,964 yards from the back (blue) tees. The course features rolling hills, magnificent zoysia fairways, and undulating bentgrass greens that make for a healthy challenge. In addition to a beautiful 18-hole course, it features a large practice facility and a fully stocked clubhouse.

 Position Overview:

This position will maintain the Golf Course in a safe and efficient manner, and other related activities.

 Qualifications and Requirements: 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test;
  • No felony convictions;
  • Follow oral and written instructions;
  • Operate equipment such as riding and farm tractors with PTO implements, rubber tire loaders, dump and flat-bed trucks, snowplows, salt spreader, mowers, hand and power tools, and vehicles in a manner consistent with safety principles;
  • Operate vehicles and equipment with both standard and automatic transmissions;
  • Accurately document and maintain simple records and logs as well as brief reports;
  • Read and apply instructions;
  • Communicate effectively verbally;
  • Effectively welcome and embrace differences among employees and citizens;
  • Perform effectively as a member of a team in carrying out the City's stated mission and philosophy;
  • Present an overall professional image;
  • Deal effectively and courteously with associates and the general public;
  • Perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. 
 Essential Functions:
  • Performs general labor as needed which may include mowing, weed-eating, digging, sweeping, painting, dusting, waxing etc.
  • Maintains equipment as instructed by supervisor and replaces tools and equipment when finished.
  • Keeps supervisor advised as to status of all projects assigned assuring for timeliness.
  • Ensures that all safety equipment procedures and gear are used at all appropriate times.
  • Deals with the public in a positive manner.
  • Responds to requests by immediate supervisor in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
