What You'll Do
  • Set-up rolling mill control systems for most efficient operation from mill set-outs, and monitoring devices in an enclosed pulpit platform and correcting inappropriate deviations from tolerances
  • Monitor reheat furnace temperature and adjust rolling pace accordingly
  • Ensure that the rolling recipes and parameters are properly set up in level 2
  • Monitor rolling process and adjust tension control to prevent cobbles
  • Communicate with finishing end and adjust rolling speeds accordingly
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
  • Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
  • Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
  • Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
What You'll Need
  • Ability to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Some overtime will be required
  • Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
  • Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
