Job description

Overview

IST Management is seeking a Facilities Office Associate to join our team in Chicago! Ideal candidates will be ready to grow their career in facilities and office services, and to take advantage of internal opportunities at IST Management for training and development toward advancement into management roles. This position will be responsible for providing on-site facilities management services to ensure a maintained space, in addition to general office support in a team environment.

Hourly Compensation: $18.00-$19.00/hr USD

Schedule: 7am to 4pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities - Facilities Support Associate:

  • Regular walk through of office space to identify and maintain maintenance needs
  • Office support: Filling paper at copiers/printers, maintaining and stocking of convenience areas
  • Misc maintenance repairs in coordination with building engineers, working with external contractors
  • Assist with interoffice moves/moving tables, chairs, furniture, and light office equipment; Inspect & clean furniture
  • Assist/Cross-train in reception and mailroom services in order to provide backup as needed
  • Take Direction from Site Manager and company representatives
  • Report to and provide support to additional client site location in area, as needed
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in office services and/or facilities and maintenance services or a related field is preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required - degree may allow for accelerated path toward managerial roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • A valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift 50-100lbs
  • Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
