Oneida Health is seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Assistant for our Camden Pediatrics Office. This role is a dynamic blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a customer-centric environment, showcasing both independence and teamwork. While medical experience is a plus, a customer service attitude is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Engage with patients in person and over the telephone with a customer service-oriented approach.
    • Collect and record patient data with keen attention to detail.
    • Address the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner.
    • Demonstrate strong computer skills for efficient administrative tasks.
    • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, adhering to infection prevention techniques.
    • Assist providers with procedures and examinations.
    • Perform treatments and procedures as directed.
    • Reassure patients about wait times, giving priority to acutely ill patients.
    • Maintain accurate medical records.
    • Check equipment and stock supplies as needed.
    • Place supply and pharmacy orders as required.
    • Facilitate and execute physician orders as directed.
    • Coordinate and schedule referrals and surgeries.
