How does it get done?
The Administrator will perform administrative functions such as typing and composing letters, reports and memos, relieving County Office Manager (COM) of routine management functions, and adhering to division and department policies, in a manner that ensures the smooth operation of the office. Provide effective supervision to all secretarial, clerical, reception or temporary/seasonal staff in a fair and professional manner, in addition to promoting retention of employees. Perform the personnel activities for the office in an efficient and professional manner. Perform the budget and fiscal activities for the office in an accurate and efficient manner.
Ideal Candidate
Skilled in the following areas: Administrative duties;

  • Office administration, customer service;
  • Clerical and general office support;
  • Multi-tasking in a busy workplace;
  • Have good communication skills;
  • Using Micro soft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer;
  • Knowledge of the SHARE financial system.

  • Minimum Qualification
    High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years work experience in office administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
    Employment Requirements
    Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
    Working Conditions
    Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Travel may be required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
