JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our customer's Mission Systems is a trusted provider of mission-enabling solutions for global security. They are seeking a contract Talent Acquisition Business Partner to support their Engineering & Sciences organization in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
This is a remote contract role, with a preference for candidates located in Maryland or the surrounding region to support occasional in-person business needs and recruiting events.
What You"ll Do:
*Serve as the primary recruiting partner to hiring managers and HR; lead strategy meetings to define role requirements and selection criteria.
*Develop and execute data-driven hiring strategies for cleared and non-cleared technical roles.
*Manage full-cycle recruitment: posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, debriefs, references, and closing.
*Build and maintain targeted talent pipelines aligned to near- and long-term workforce needs.
*Provide labor market and competitor insights to inform hiring decisions and prioritization.
*Champion an excellent candidate and stakeholder experience with timely, inclusive decision-making.
*Ensure compliance with employment laws and EEO/OFCCP requirements; maintain audit-ready documentation.
*Utilize ATS/CRM tools (e.g., Workday, Eightfold) to manage requisitions, track funnel metrics, and improve processes.
*Represent our client at recruiting events and support a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
Basic Qualifications:
*Bachelor"s degree and 3+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience (agency or corporate); or an additional 4 years in lieu of a degree.
*US Citizenship required.
*Experience sourcing and hiring diverse technical talent (e.g., engineering and related disciplines.
*Proven success managing multiple requisitions in a high-volume, fast-paced environmen.
*Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
*Ability to build and maintain strong talent pipelines and partnerships with hiring managers and HR.
*Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a consultative, customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Background in agency or staffing firm recruiting.
*Experience in government contracting, aerospace, or defense.
*Familiarity with Workday and Eightfold.
*Demonstrated understanding of OFCCP compliance and regulated hiring environments.
*Active in digital sourcing and social recruitment. (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, talent communities, niche boards)
*Experience developing market intelligence and engaging passive candidates.
*Strong organizational skills; able to manage shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
*Self-directed, with strong customer service orientation and results focus.
*Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for recruiting events and business needs.
