Education: Bachelor’s degree in management (business or non-profit), human services, or related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in project management or program oversight. Experience collaborating with other organizations.
Requirements: Position requires the ability to work collaboratively with multiple organizations and individuals to achieve a common goal. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with multiple stakeholders. Is accurate, conscientious and flexible with attention to detail. Is proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access. Accepts direction, is well organized, and can meet deadlines. Willingness to work in a team environment. Must have valid driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate effectively with individuals from all demographic groups. The Senior Alliance is a non-profit 501c(3) where philanthropy on behalf of the organization is a requirement of all employees. Perform job functions with ethics, honesty and integrity.
General Job Description: Provide administrative direction, support and oversight of nutrition program contractor(s) to ensure that all program requirements are met. Establish relationships with nutrition site staff, volunteers, and meal preparation vendor(s).
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to drive to local meal sites on a daily basis and to walk distances required to visit sites. May require walking on uneven surfaces such as outdoor sidewalks. May require entering areas that are not wheelchair-accessible. Ability to drive a vehicle throughout service area. May require lifting up to 40 pounds.
Duties:
  • Oversee nutrition program’s contracted vendor(s)
  • Visit at least one congregate meal site and/or home delivered meal packaging/distribution site each business day to ensure that program standards are being met
  • Develop relationships with contracted vendor(s) staff, volunteers and meal provider(s) to support coordination between TSA, Wayne County and the meal provider
  • Conduct satisfaction surveys with meal recipients (congregate, home delivered and liquid)
  • Develop relationship with Halal meal provider and Halal congregate meal site
  • Work collaboratively with contracted vendor(s) on nutrition program assessment, wait list, and enrollment processes
  • Support contracted vendor(s) in use of meals program software
  • Assist in the training of contracted vendor(s) staff and volunteers on TSA operated aspects of the nutrition program
  • Report to TSA management on the operational status of contracted vendor(s)
  • Identify opportunities for improvements within the nutrition program
