What We Need You To Do:

As the RN (Registered Nurse) Desk Nurse you will coordinate and oversee resident care, ensuring quality clinical outcomes through assessment, care planning, medication administration, documentation, and communication with residents, families, physicians, and staff. You will also provide leadership and supervision to nursing support staff while maintaining compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess residents and monitor changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and medical records.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Complete incident reports and follow-up documentation as needed.
  • Maintain narcotic counts and medication inventory.
  • Provide shift reports and ensure continuity of care.
  • Supervise CNAs and other assigned staff.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and resident advocacy.
  • Respond to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain IV, PIC, and PICC lines and draw blood from lines as permitted.

These Are The Qualifications We Are Looking For:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing as a registered nurse
  • Current CPR certification
