Human Service Agency is unique to South Dakota as we are the only Community Support Provider and Mental Health Counseling Center located within one agency. We are divided into two divisions: Behavioral Health, which administers counseling and other mental health services, and New Horizons, which directs programs and services for the developmentally disabled. Our New Horizons staff makes it their mission to improve the life experiences of the developmentally disabled.

Job Description


The Medical Personnel Staff (LPN/CNA/EMT) will provide direct care in the detoxification/co-occurring halfway house setting. Responsibilities include coordination and oversight of all programming, documentation and direct client care. This position is responsible for all medical aspects of the detoxification day-to-day operation, and health and medical aspects of the Halfway House Program.

Qualifications



Physical Requirements Include:

  • Required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Infrequent light physical effort required; lifting up to 10 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. rarely.
  • Employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employee may be required to work extended periods of time at a computer monitor.
  • Must be able to drive vehicle occasionally.

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • LPN licensure in the State of South Dakota,ย orย CNA/EMT certification
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to become CPR, First Aid, and Med Certified
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening
