What You'll Do
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians
  • Supporting rooming, vital signes and patient preparation
  • Maintaining a safe and clean care environment

While CNA I and CNA II professionals can work under the license of a physician or advanced practice provider (APP), per North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements, they must:
  • Complete a minimum of 8 hours every 24 months of direct supervision by a registered nurse (RN) employed at the clinic
  • Or make arrangements to complete this requirement at a sister Novant Health Medical Group (NHMG) clinic location

What We're Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience:
    • Two years of acute experience for CNA 1, preferred.
    • One year of CNA2 or EMT experience, preferred.
    • One year of experience in healthcare setting or Physician Assistant or medical school student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • NA I in good standing within the NA registry, required.
    • NA II in good standing with NA II certification with required state, required.
    • EMT current credential in appropriate state, required.
    • One year clinical (medical) office experience, required.
    • Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in accredited program or in gap year, required.
  • Additional Skills Required:
    • Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
    • Basic computer skills for documentation.
