Notaries are commonly used for legal documents such as affidavits, real estate deeds, powers of attorney, and contracts. They also administer oaths and affirmations. The specific duties and requirements for notaries can vary by state or country.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a notary, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Notary, you generally need a high school diploma, state-specific notary commission, and strong attention to detail for reviewing legal documents. Balancing travel time, document preparation, and client communication requires strong organizational skills. Additionally, staying up-to-date with state laws and maintaining meticulous records are essential to avoid errors and legal issues. Many Notaries find using scheduling software and maintaining regular routines helps streamline their workflow and reduce stress.
