The Jewish Association for Residential Care (JARC) is seeking a dedicated, organized, and relationship-focused Development & Donor Relations Coordinator to join our Advancement team. This position plays a vital role in strengthening donor relationships, supporting fundraising initiatives, coordinating volunteer engagement, and advancing JARC's mission of empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live full and meaningful lives.

Position Summary

The Development & Donor Relations Coordinator serves as a key member of the Advancement Department and is responsible for donor stewardship, database management, volunteer support, event coordination, and administrative assistance for the Senior Director of Advancement and the CEO/COO.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys combining relationship-building with strong organizational and administrative skills to support meaningful philanthropic impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain donor records and gift information within the DonorPerfect database.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of donor data.
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgment letters, gratitude calls, and stewardship activities.
  • Assist with identifying, cultivating, and engaging donors, community leaders, and volunteers.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, special events, and volunteer initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and materials to support development efforts.
  • Coordinate event logistics, scheduling, supplies, and communications.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Advancement and CEO/COO.
  • Serve as a resource for donor database reporting and information requests.
  • Promote JARC's mission and uphold the organization's core values.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, volunteer coordination, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with donor database software preferred, particularly DonorPerfect.
  • Strong data entry, database management, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with donors, volunteers, community leaders, and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive donor and organizational information.
