As the Social Media Coordinator, you'll bring the EFCU Financial brand to life by creating engaging content, fostering meaningful connections, and sharing the people, purpose, and culture that make us unique. Through creativity, collaboration, and authentic storytelling, you'll help strengthen our online presence while inspiring and connecting with current and future members.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the credit union's brand voice and tone in all social media content, ensuring consistency with overall creative direction and messaging guidelines.
  2. Collaborate with marketing team to ensure social content is accurate, on-brand, compliant, and effectively supports the credit union’s initiatives across all channels.
  3. Assist in developing and executing a proactive social media strategy that includes content calendar planning, platform-specific posting, audience engagement, trend monitoring, reputation management, short-form video, and performance-based content optimization.
  4. Developing and maintaining the social media content calendar;
  5. Create and publish engaging posts, captions, graphics, reels, stories, and short-form videos that support campaigns, community partnerships, financial education, member engagement, and strategic objectives.
  6. Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner, identify engagement opportunities, and help strengthen EFCU Financials online community.
  7. Supporting online reputation management, including monitoring reviews and ratings across all platforms.
  8. Monitoring social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities to improve content and boost engagement.
  9. Track and report on social media performance, including engagement, reach, and growth metrics, and apply insights to improve content effectiveness.
  10. Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and content creators to ensure high-quality visuals and messaging and support content development.
  11. Assist with community events, chamber events, and credit union public relations activities. Take photos and shoot videos when appropriate and post stories while at the events.
  12. Take official photos and videos, including new hire photos, check presentations, and other credit union events to support social media and marketing content.
  13. Collaborate with cross-functional EFCU Financial teams to support new product and service launches, campaigns, website pages, and email initiatives as they relate to social media content.
  14. Actively and thoughtfully communicate with marketing team members by participating in goal planning and development.
  15. Assist with branch supply orders and marketing inventory as needed, while maintaining primary focus on social media content, engagement, and digital brand support.
  16. Any other duty as assigned or required in connection with the general operation of the credit union.


Pay Grade 8 - non-exempt

Hourly rate starting between $21.17 and $26.47 per hour based on experience.






Requirements:

Critical Knowledge, Skill, and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience creating social media content, managing social media platforms and growing engagement for a brand, business, nonprofit, agency, or community-focused organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing organic social media platforms, including content planning, publishing, engagement, basic reputation management, and adapting content for each platform’s audience and best practices.
  • Experience with basic content creation tools such as Adobe Express, Adobe Suite, or similar photo/video editing platforms.
  • Working knowledge of social media management tools like Meta Business Suite Metricool, Sprout Social, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for engaging copy and social media captions.
  • Ability to create creative content that aligns with brand messaging and resonates with target audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
