DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on supporting families and children who are facing challenges related to abuse or neglect.

As a County Caseworker, you will perform the following duties:

  • Case Management: Provide guidance and coordination to families working through safety and well being concerns
  • Child Safety Checks: Conduct timely assessments when reports of child abuse arise
  • Community Collaboration: Work with partners to connect families to helpful resources
  • Family Support: Help families access programs that strengthen stability and improve outcomes

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
    • On-call rotation is required.
    • May work nontraditional hours when needed.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Servi...
