Director of Real Estate Fulfillment - Berrien Springs (Full-Time)
This is a Hybrid Work Eligible position. You will be required to come into the Operations Center in Berrien Springs, MI as needed to ensure business needs are met. This position will oversee the Honor SW Michigan, West Michigan and UP mortgage territory.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Accountable for helping shape the strategic vision and fostering collaboration across all real estate lending functions - including Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Home Equity.
  • Continuously identifies innovative opportunities to enhance departmental efficiency and profitability through technology, diverse loan programs, and strong operational controls that timely support the sales teams' expectations.
  • Oversees the performance of direct reports and their teams by setting clear expectations, monitoring progress, and ensuring goals are consistently achieved.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely reporting of production metrics, errors and exceptions, quality control results, and compliance data.
  • Partners with the VP of Real Estate, Directors, AVP's, and Managers to develop solutions that strengthen both sales support and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all real estate compliance requirements and investor guidelines, ensuring full adherence across the fulfillment team.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • College degree in Business or related field is required, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Three years of leadership experience is a must.
  • Deep understanding of the fulfillment process for mortgage lending including processing, underwriting and closing.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Must have demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
  • Thorough knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC underwriting, processing, and closing guidelines.
  • Thorough understanding and oversees the secondary lock desk.
  • Thorough knowledge of consumer protection laws and industry regulations such as HMDA, Fair Lending, ECOA, and TRID.
  • Ability to analyze information and implement sound and effective solutions.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, well-organized and have an excellent eye for detail.
  • Handle issues with tact, diplomacy, and an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Understands and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
