Job description

Primary Function:
The Lock Desk Analyst provides a crucial role to optimize ICCU's capital and liquidity by managing access to external capital markets and leading capital market transactions. They are responsible for fulfilling, pricing, lock, re-lock, lock extension, and lock change requests. They will also monitor the locked pipeline and carry out lock desk policies and procedures while recommending changes when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collect, organize, and analyze rate and fee data on mortgage loans

  • Calculate income margins to determine daily mortgage rates for the Credit Union within guidelines determined by Secondary Market Manager

  • Managing credit union gross yield spreads

  • Evaluate competitor loan estimates and determine if rate matching is feasible

  • Process rate lock requests utilizing Encompass and Optimal Blue while clearly and effectively communicating with loan officers and other departments

  • Troubleshoot loan purchases, buybacks, and file requirements for sale

  • Register loans with investors and allocate loans into trade commitments

  • Complete the sale of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHLB loans

  • Maintain secondary market investor relationships to ensure we have the optimal suite of investors while maintain high scorecard accuracy

  • Understand and relay investor policies as well as fully comprehending and conveying the pricing for all mortgage products investors offer

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred. One year related experience preferred. Excellent mathematical/analytical skills, deductive reasoning and attention to detail required. Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means. Must be proficient in Excel and know how to use pivot tables and other reporting characteristics. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times.
