Senior Installation Technician

Network Mountain

Philadelphia, PA

$40 - $55/hr

Full-time

Posted 24 days ago

Job description

Lead Installation Technician
Greater Philadelphia, PA
Compensation: $40-$55/hr

Network Mountain is hiring for a Lead Installation Technician in the Greater Philadelphia market. This role is for someone who is already operating above the level of a standard installer and is comfortable owning the technical side of commercial security installations on active construction sites. The immediate need is tied to continued growth and larger new construction work. We need someone who can work hands-on in the field, solve problems without drama, and hold their own around multiple trades on $1M+ builds.

What You Get to Do

  • Lead hands-on installation work across commercial security projects in the Greater Philadelphia area
  • Install and troubleshoot access control, video, locking hardware, and supporting infrastructure in active construction environments
  • Program and work within platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, AMAG, Verkada, Hanwha, and Axis
  • Cut strikes, hang mag locks, and handle field-level door hardware work without needing to be coached through it
  • Pull cable, bend and run conduit, terminate devices, and cleanly execute the physical side of the install
  • Handle networking, system troubleshooting, and programming in the field to keep projects moving
  • Work directly alongside other trades, both union and non-union, on larger construction projects where coordination matters
  • Support new construction builds that can exceed $1M in project size, while also contributing on smaller jobs as needed
  • Travel locally throughout Greater Philadelphia to job sites and stay productive in the field, not behind a desk

What You Have Already Done

  • You have at least 4 years of installation experience in commercial security, low voltage, or closely related systems work
  • You have real field experience on major construction projects
  • You are comfortable working around and with multiple trades on active job sites
  • You have strong hands-on experience in networking, troubleshooting, programming, cable pulling, and conduit
  • You can handle lock work, including cutting strikes and hanging mag locks
  • You have worked with at least some of the following platforms: Lenel, Genetec, Software House, AMAG, Verkada, Hanwha, or Axis
  • You live in the Greater Philadelphia area and can travel locally to job sites
  • You do not need constant direction to stay productive and solve field problems
  • You are credible as the lead technical person on site and can be trusted with real installation responsibility

Why You Would Do It
This role is worth a conversation if you want to stay hands-on, work on real projects, and be part of a company that is growing for the right reasons. The hiring need is being driven by continued growth, not backfill, and the work includes the kind of larger construction projects that give a strong Installation Technician room to prove what they can really handle. At $40-$55/hr, this is built for someone who already knows the work, wants local Greater Philadelphia projects, and would rather be trusted to execute than micromanaged.
