BASIC PURPOSE
Provides lab support for STEM faculty, staff, and students with a primary focus on equipment and supply ordering, inventory, and maintenance.
*This position requires the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances to be completed prior to the first day of employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Order, track and verify supplies and equipment for STEM laboratory courses
  • Maintain department vendor and equipment files
  • Provide support to faculty in underserved STEM laboratory courses, such as engineering, physics, astronomy and computer science
  • Assist in preparation of labs in Biology, Chemistry, and Microbiology, as needed
  • Provide support for equipment service contracts and maintenance
  • Performs related duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  1. Education/Training/Work Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED required with 2 years work related experience required OR
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral
  1. Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of specific software or process
  • Customer service experience
