LIS Coordinator / Laboratory / Full Time/ Days**** $10,000 Sign On Bonus ****
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director and Manager, the Laboratory Information System Coordinator provides personal care and professional excellence by coordinating, directing and managing the laboratory information system. This shall include training of all laboratory personnel.

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages, coordinates and supervises the information system programs and updates while working closely with the lab manager. The LIS Coordinator trains all laboratory personnel and section heads or person responsible for developing specific programs necessary for the operation of each laboratory area.
2. Monitors validity and accuracy of the system.
3. Reports breakdown in equipment and/or problems as soon as possible.
4. Keeps abreast of new developments, attends inservices and education opportunities as requested by Laboratory Director or Manager/Hospital.
5. Keeps Laboratory Director and Manager informed of all aspects of the LIS on a regular basis and acquires permission for any changes to the system before making changes or initiating new policies.
6. Follows all safety policies of the laboratory and hospital.
7. Performs laboratory procedures and test production within the scope of personal training and certification as assigned.
8. The LIS Coordinator shall support by phone to all shifts if shift supervisors or technologist in charge deems consultation necessary.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree as a Medical Laboratory Scientist

3 years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience

IT experience preferred
