Job Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) for Urgent Care delivers nursing care for patients across their life span, including occupational health patients (physicals, drug screens, injury care) and patients with acute illness/injury.

Schedule

20 hours a week: one 8‑hour shift or one 12‑hour shift with no set days. Weekend rotation allows coverage at other Care Now locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide essential medical care to urgent care and occupational health patients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of procedures and assist physicians as indicated.
  • Implement, evaluate, and document patient care interventions in accordance with care plans.
  • Maintain budgeting awareness and serve as a professional role model and resource person.
  • Participate in unit‑based performance improvement and identify unit needs to support goals.
  • Maintain professional development through in‑services and continuing education.
  • Develop, evaluate, and adjust staffing based on patient care needs; assign responsibilities to team.
  • Facilitate staff education activities including orientation, competency, and mandatory in‑services.
  • Provide input to annual performance reviews and conduct customer service interactions.
  • Assist with management functions and manage daily operations within budget parameters.
  • Perform systematic assessments and formulate collaborative plans of care, identifying expected outcomes.
  • Organize, coordinate, and prioritize patient care consistently using available resources.
Physical and Sensory Requirements

Sit up to 2hours per day; stand up to 8hours per day; walk 6hours per day; lift/push up to 10lbs (frequently 75lbs); transport patients up to 400lbs with assistance; pull up to 10lbs (frequently 250lbs); stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, reach above shoulder level; senses: touch, hearing, vision as specified.

Education and Experience

Registered Nurse licensed in Pennsylvania. Successful completion of BLS. Experience in occupational medicine and urgent care is preferred.
