Job description

Job Brief:
The Board of Elections will require six (6) office assistants during the term of this contract. In an event additional staff is required the County designee will give a week notice to contracted vendors. Responsible for general clerical work.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains records and files, prepares routine correspondence, orders supplies, answers phones, operates office equipment, computer, performs data entry and data processing, and acts as a receptionist.
  • Staff will be required from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
  • The Board of Elections may require modified hours and some weekends prior to the Primary Election and General Election days.
  • Weekend hours will be from 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M or 4:30 P.M. On June 6,2023 (Primary Election Day) and November 7,2023 (General Election Day) staff will be required to work extended work hours that differ from regular hours of operation, the County Designee will advise firms of hours.
  • The initial term of this agreement shall be for ten (10) months. During this contract term staff will be required from April 24,2023 through July 28,2023 and September 18,2023 through December 31,2023

Skills Required:
  • High school or equivalent,
  • A course in typing and minimum 55 wpm.
  • One (1) year general clerical work involving public contact.

Compensation:
  • $25 per hour
