AMT’s Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Game Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, playback and API’s for third party developers to enrich our platforms. Description
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic power and performance engineer to support our audio engineering and quality teams within the Audio & Media Technologies group. As a member of our team, your goal will be to help ship exciting features while ensuring power and performance quality across iOS, watchOS, tvOS, macOS and visionOS platforms. You will be using various internal tools that support measuring power and performance metrics. Additionally you will be interacting with prototype hardware and development boards regularly. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking initiative and is comfortable working with multi-functional teams. If you see yourself as a dedicated power and performance engineer with good communication skills and passion to succeed in an exciting and fast-paced environment, you will thrive here.
Preferred Qualifications
BS or MS Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to problem solve and prove your own ideas.
Strong coding skills in C/C++, Objective C/Swift, Python
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads
Experience with system power, performance, and memory assessment tools. Familiarity with Instruments in Xcode.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $142,300 and $263,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
