Thesenior newsletter writeris responsible forwriting a new daily flagship evening newsletter, as well ascollaborating with a senior editor and newsletter team leadership toanalyze audience insights and performance data, refining and iterating on the product as audience needs evolve. This role may also be asked to writeor editadditional newslettersas bandwidth allows.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Writeaflagshipeveningnewsletterthatdelves deeper intothe day'smost important or compellingnews,witha conversational yetjournalisticallyrigorousapproach that upholds CNN's editorial standards.

  • Work with newsletter editor and team leadership tosetand executestrategic goals for the newsletter that align with the audienceorganization'smission.

  • Regularly pitch ideas for new features and rubrics in the newsletterthat will improve its editorial quality and deepen audience loyalty.

  • Collaborate with off-platform and communications stakeholders to creatively promote the newsletter and expose it to new audiences.

  • Potentially write and/or edit other newsletters, asdeterminedbymanager.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, includingreporting orwriting onadaily deadlineandfact-checking(yourown work or others').

  • A stronggeneralistwithgreat news judgment, a lively, engaging writing style,and nonstop ideas.

  • A strategic thinker who can connect theirdaily work to the organization's larger goals.

  • A creative thinker who can use audience insights to continually experiment and iterate.

  • A clear communicator and proactive collaborator with endless curiosity about our audiences' interests and needs.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $80,500.00 - $149,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
