Salary Range: $66,912.96 - $93,072.00
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring, supporting, designing, and implementing information systems to enhance the educational and informational functions of the school district. This role requires expertise in Local and Wide Area Networking, network security, design, testing, implementation, monitoring and support of the district's data networks, as well as regular systems maintenance and pro-active planning and implementation of improvements. Must be able to work with vendors and contractors and manage multiple district-wide projects. The administrator facilitates requirements gathering sessions, conducts research and analysis, and produces recommendations to support decision-making processes. This role requires a forward thinking professional with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to harnessing technology to enhance educational outcomes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or technical certification preferred, or technical certification preferred. Relevant Certifications: CCNA, CWNA/NP, CCNP or CCIE. BICSI certifications preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of networking equipment i.e. firewalls, routers, switches, etc.
