Network Engineer - Mason, OH
Full Time in Mason, OH – Onsite
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
ICR has opportunities available for motivated IT network engineers. Top candidates will have an active government clearance, and will be professionals who are experienced with enterprise-level networking and demonstrate a consistent and reliable technical support and customer service to internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans, implements, and operates network services/systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise-level networks for end-users.
  • Configure and maintain equipment including desktops, laptops, virtual machines, printers, AV setups and phones.
  • Create and maintain user accounts and various admin responsibilities (ex. password resets, user account unlocks, LDAP groups, etc.).
  • Inventory tracking, resource allocation, asset management, and purchase requisitions for equipment.
  • Generate and maintain documentation to share knowledge with the IT team on common issues/resolutions.
  • Support the IT infrastructure team including patching, rebooting, and performing physical maintenance.
  • Ability to detect and identify issues and work with facilities team to secure vendor support to resolve.
  • Provide on-call support after hours, as required, to support critical operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related field)
  • Minimum three (3) years experience:
    • Network Fundamentals: Understanding routers, switches, and how packets travel through a network
    • Network Access: VLANs, trunking, and basic wireless architectures
    • IP Connectivity amp; Services: Routing protocols (like OSPF), DHCP, DNS, and NAT
    • Security Fundamentals: Basic threat defense, access control lists (ACLs), and device hardening
    • Automation and Programmability: Basic software-defined networking, REST APIs, and configuration management tools
  • Ability to perform initial issue triage, troubleshoot, and resolve service interruptions
  • Timely and professional communication across all channels (in-person, email, phone, chat, etc.)
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (ex. Security+ CE), or ability to obtain within 2 months of start date
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance (and SCI eligible)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Professional (PCNSE)
  • Experience with:
    • Supporting Microsoft Windows-based environments (Windows 10, Terminal Services, Active Directory)
    • Supporting Linux workstations and servers (RHEL 8, Ubuntu)
    • Providing support in an environment with multiple isolated networks
    • Administering Microsoft Office365
    • Reconfiguring network switches
    • Creation and maintenance of VMs in a VMWare ESXi environment
    • Utilizing IT Service Management tracking software
    • Submitting purchase requests and communication with vendors, as needed.
  • Hardware repair certification (ex. Dell TechDirect)
  • Prior exposure to working with military and/or government contractors

Salary Range: $78,853 - $236,579
