Network Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with a focus on Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, be experienced in implementing and managing SD-WAN solutions, and demonstrate a proactive approach to optimizing network performance, reliability, and security. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise and strong analytical skills to support, design, and maintain a robust network architecture that meets business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage SD-WAN solutions to ensure efficient network performance and optimized routing across multiple sites.
  • Maintain and enhance existing network infrastructure to meet company requirements and industry best practices.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and software in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with overall business goals, ensuring the security and scalability of the network.
  • Perform routine and proactive network monitoring, analyzing traffic patterns and network usage to preemptively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats to continually improve the network's performance and security.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing support and troubleshooting for network-related issues as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on SD-WAN implementation, configuration, and support.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
  • Experience with network management tools and monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Familiarity with network security practices, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols.
  • Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex network issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with other WAN optimization and acceleration technologies.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network management and configuration.
