Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Logistics Analyst Internship will focus primarily on items for the company's logistics department in warehouse and transportation operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building reports and visualizations in Power BI for executive summaries and operational activities
  • Create inventory reporting dashboards
  • Create weekly cut report
  • Will focus on minimizing detention and demurrage costs for incoming product from both domestic and foreign plants
  • Track warehouse throughput daily
  • Work on creating back-end data sources using SQL server
  • Create data automation workflows with KNIME
  • Work on automation of daily tasks and automatic data refreshes with UI Path
  • Create dashboards for tracking inbound freight by product group and location to ensure availability and proper timing
  • Create 'prioritization list' to ensure warehouse is unloading the proper trailers on a given day to maximize sales
  • Weekly review of warehouse volumes in and out by product group
  • Ensure that all data supplied to internal colleagues and leadership is validated and correct before distribution
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Currently enrolled in a US accredited degree program for at least another 12 months and can dedicate 12 months toward this internship
  • Student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Data Science or another related field
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8 or higher
  • Able to come onsite to our Fort Mill, SC Tire HQs 3 days/week (from Tuesday to Thursday)
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel/VBA skills and developed math skills
  • Intermediate/Advanced Power BI skills
