Job description

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a strategic partner between business operations and technology, responsible for optimizing the enterprise applications that support Finance, Operations, Sales, Human Resources, and Project Management. This role works closely with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, translate business needs into technology solutions, and deliver enhancements that improve efficiency, data quality, and the overall user experience. This is a hybrid role working in our Minneapolis, MN office 3 days/week.
The salary range is $100,000- $130,000/year. The salary may vary within the range based on factors such as location of the role, and a candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Sr. Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
Business Analysis
  • Partner with department leaders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process documentation.
  • Recommend technology solutions that improve business operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis on business and system issues.

Enterprise Application Support
  • Serve as the primary functional owner and subject matter expert for enterprise applications.
  • Configure enterprise applications to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Manage user accounts, security, and permissions.
  • Coordinate software upgrades, testing, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain application documentation and support standards.

Solution Delivery & Implementation
  • Partner with the Director of Business Systems to execute the enterprise applications roadmap.
  • Translate approved initiatives into implementation plans.
  • Lead implementation of approved system enhancements.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate implementation activities with vendors and business stakeholders.

Enterprise Integrations
  • Manage and optimize integrations between Acumatica, Pipedrive, Procore, UKG, and Microsoft 365.
  • Develop and maintain workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Assist with API and integration projects.
  • Troubleshoot integration and data synchronization issues.

Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Develop operational dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI reporting solutions.
  • Create KPIs with Finance and Operations.
  • Promote enterprise data governance and reporting accuracy.

Technology Enablement
  • Act as the bridge between business operations and technology.
  • Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and best practices.
  • Recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, user experience, and data quality.

Sr. Business Systems Analyst Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Enterprise Applications Analyst, ERP Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar business technology role.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting one or more enterprise business applications, such as: ERP platforms (Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, Oracle, SAP, or similar), CRM platforms (Pipedrive, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, HubSpot, or similar), Human Capital Management (UKG, Workday, ADP, or similar), Project Management or Construction platforms (Procore or similar), and Microsoft 365 and collaboration technologies
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Power Query
  • Experience supporting business processes
