Position Summary


The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting daily field operations, recruiting efforts, manpower coordination, and customer workforce needs. This position serves as a bridge between field leadership, employees, recruiting, and Workforce Strategy to ensure staffing levels, attendance management, onboarding, and operational support are handled efficiently and professionally.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. This role requires a hands-on approach and flexibility to support multiple customer locations within a one-hour radius of Union City, GA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Field Operations Support


  • Provide on-site operational support to customer locations as needed
  • Assist with employee check-ins, attendance tracking, shift coverage, and workforce stabilization efforts
  • Support supervisors and area managers with staffing needs and employee relations concerns
  • Assist with training coordination, onboarding processes, badge processing, and orientation support
  • Maintain professional communication with field leadership, Workforce Strategy and employees
  • Respond to urgent staffing or operational needs, including after-hours or weekend support when necessary


Recruiting & Staffing Coordination


  • Recruit, screen, and interview candidates for open positions
  • Coordinate onboarding, background checks, drug screens, and employment documentation
  • Maintain applicant flow and ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Schedule employees for assignments based on customer demand and manpower requirements
  • Track daily staffing levels, call-offs, no-call/no-shows, and shift coverage needs
  • Work closely with Workforce Strategy leadership to develop staffing pipelines for current and future business demands


Administrative & Communication Support


  • Maintain accurate employee and staffing records
  • Assist with reporting related to attendance, staffing metrics, and workforce activity
  • Communicate schedule changes, start details, and workforce updates to employees and leadership teams
  • Support payroll/timekeeping processes by assisting with timecard review and attendance verification
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety expectations, and PPG Quality requirements


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred
  • Previous experience in staffing, recruiting, workforce coordination, manufacturing support, or operations preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and workforce management systems
  • Ability to professionally handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills


Physical & Travel Requirements


  • Must be able to travel within a one-hour radius of Union City, Georgia
