Job SummaryThe Manager, National Key Account is responsible for managing Loenbro's most strategic, multi-regional client relationships and pursuing large-scale project opportunities across all regions and service lines. Reporting to the Executive Sales Director, this role ensures consistent engagement and growth with national clients while coordinating with Regional Sales Directors and Key Account Managers to align pursuit strategies and project delivery.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven professional with deep experience in construction and a strong understanding of national account development, capital project sales, and long-term client partnerships. This role will drive national revenue growth through proactive opportunity identification, cross-functional collaboration, and seamless communication across the sales, operations, and preconstruction teams.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for Loenbro's national and enterprise clients.
  • Identify and pursue multi-regional project opportunities across all service lines and market sectors.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing win strategies and Go-No-Go process to determine which projects and clients to target.
  • Lead the RFP/RFQ process and deliver to the client while meeting company standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors and Key Account Managers to align regional execution with national account strategy.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director of Sales to establish growth targets, forecasting, and performance metrics for national accounts.
  • Partner with the Director of Preconstruction and estimating teams to develop strategic pricing, value engineering options, and project win strategies.
  • Coordinate proposal development, client presentations, and RFP/RFQ responses for national pursuits.
  • Gain a solid understanding of the services to be sold and represent that well to the client, bringing in subject matter experts when appropriate.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between sales, operations, and marketing to deliver consistent client experiences across all regions.
  • Maintain comprehensive account plans, opportunity pipelines, and activity reports within Salesforce CRM.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, performance trends, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Represent Loenbro at key national trade shows, industry associations, and client meetings.
  • Uphold Loenbro's safety culture, integrity, and values in all business activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, key account management, or project sales within industrial or construction industries.
  • Proven success managing large, complex, multi-location client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the industrial and commercial construction market, including capital projects and maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts across multiple regions and service lines.
  • Knowledge of estimating, bid development, and preconstruction processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior-level decision-makers.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel nationally to meet with clients and internal teams.

Preferred:
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and project tracking/reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
