Job description

Key Account Executive Employer: HiEnd Accents Date Posted: Sep 1th, 2026 Department: Overview

As our Key Account Executive, you will manage and grow relationships with our largest retail partnersโ€”including department stores, major home furnishings chains, and other key retailers. Your primary goal is to drive revenue growth, deepen strategic partnerships, and identify opportunities for our expanding product lines (bedding, bath, accessories, and private-label programs). This role includes clearly defined sales targets and performance goals. Expect approximately four weeks of annual travel to major trade showsโ€”Las Vegas Market (Jan/Jul) and High Point Market (Apr/Oct)โ€”plus occasional visits to key accounts as needed, totaling up to ~25% travel. This role is ideal for an ambitious and experienced sales professional who enjoys managing national retailers, excels at navigating large retail systems, and thrives within a dynamic, design-focused, and growth-oriented company.

Description
  • Account Strategy: Develop and execute annual sales strategies tailored to each national account, including assortment planning, promotional activities, margin targets, and reorder cycles, with the objective of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
  • Agreement Management: Negotiate vendor agreements that safeguard margins and brand positioning; oversee compliance, chargebacks, and renewals.
  • Growth Initiatives: Present and secure opportunities for assortment expansion, exclusive collections, private-label partnerships, licensing, and hospitality accounts. Manage new product launches and item set-up processes.
  • Buyer Relationships: Serve as a trusted resource for buyers and planners, providing trend insights, sell-through analyses, and proactive solutions to ensure continued business growth.
  • Data-Driven Action: Forecast, monitor, and analyze account performance; recommend product optimization, pricing adjustments, and inventory strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Market Representation: Actively represent HiEnd Accents at major trade shows, customer visits, and virtual meetings. Communicate competitive insights to internal stakeholders (Product Development, Marketing, Operations).
  • Travel: Attend Las Vegas and High Point Markets (~4 weeks/year), with additional travel for key account meetings as necessary.

Compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary combined with commission based on achieving sales targets. This position is Dallas-based, working from our headquarters showroom and office. The Key Account Executive reports directly to the CEO.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years managing national/key accounts with a proven record of revenue growth; at least 2 years in home, gift, furniture, or related consumer products industries preferred.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proficient in retail math, trend forecasting, merchandising, assortment planning, and experienced in managing multimillion-dollar accounts.
  • Relationship Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities, capable of effectively engaging all organizational levels from Assistant Buyer to GMM.
  • Execution Capability: Organized self-starter adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously, including detailed line sheets, compelling pitch decks, and diverse retailer portals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced with CRM and ERP systems; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related discipline.
  • Location: Must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
  • Travel Readiness: Able and willing to travel approximately 25% annually, including attendance at major markets and account-specific visits.
