Job description

The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Specialist in Bellevue, WA / Austin, TX / Florence, KY to manage day-to-day warehousing operations supporting Data Center Fulfillment Centers (DCFC) - purpose-built logistics nodes that enable rapid hardware fulfillment to AWS data centers - the fastest growing logistics program within AWS - while leading projects to further enhance our operation. This is a highly tactical, execution-heavy role - you will be in the weeds daily, driving operational outcomes hands-on, not managing from a distance.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. You'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
An ideal candidate has a strong foundational understanding of Supply Chain, Operations, Warehousing, and Supply Chain Logistics combined with excellent data-driven problem resolution skills and proven program management capability. They are comfortable with a high level of hands-on tactical involvement - this role requires daily operational troubleshooting, working within ticketing systems (e.g., SIM), and real-time problem solving to keep the operation moving. They have the ability to work with external partners, influence cross-functional stakeholders, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within current systems. This role requires solid communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-velocity environment.
This role requires up to 40% travel (primarily domestic USA) to audit and support warehouse operations across NALA. After-hours support and on-call responsibilities are required to maintain operational continuity across a 24/7 supply chain network.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end warehousing operations including receiving, storage, fulfillment, and outbound logistics
• Engage in daily tactical communication with third-party logistics providers (3PLs/LSPs) and internal customers
• Lead large-scale programs independently - defining scope, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communications
• Travel up to 40% to audit warehouses and support operational readiness throughout NALA
• Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed
• Create and maintain performance metrics, operational dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to drive business results and provide visibility into operational health
• Perform daily operational troubleshooting - managing ticketing workflows (SIM), resolving supply chain disruptions, and coordinating rapid resolution across teams
• Quickly understand the business impact of observed trends and make data-driven decisions
• Identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in logistics operations
• Work with multiple stakeholder teams across the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implement standards
• Provide after-hours and on-call support as needed to maintain operational continuity
• Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs while managing competing priorities
A day in the life
• You are passionate about warehousing operations, vendor management, and supply chain logistics
• You thrive in a hands-on, tactical environment - troubleshooting operational issues in real time and keeping things moving
• You thrive in program management - driving initiatives from inception through implementation with clear milestones and accountability
• You enjoy working with data to analyze complex data sets and drive optimal business decisions (advanced Excel, SQL, BI tools)
• You own continuous improvement efforts and can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and after-hours engagement
